Rick Conzemius, PhD
Rick founded DataHelix with a PhD in Bioinformatics and an Executive MBA. He has led bioinformatics teams, built analysis pipelines and cloud infrastructure, and worked on commercial diagnostic products.
His experience across research, diagnostics, and consulting connects the biological question with the technical work and the business requirements.

DataHelix builds bioinformatics systems for research, diagnostics, and biotechnology. Our work spans microbial genomics, antimicrobial resistance surveillance, human genomics, and multi-omics.
We know the practical questions behind the data: How were the samples processed? Which quality criteria matter? And who will run the pipeline when the project is finished?

We build systems with your team and explain the decisions behind them. Documentation, SOPs, validation datasets, and practical training support independent operation.
Based in Vienna, we work with teams worldwide. Most collaboration is remote, with on-site work for laboratory assessments, integration, and training when needed.
